At
Great River Roasters we have...
Ten Steps to Great Coffee!
- We roast
100% Arabica beans. Arabica coffee accounts
for only 5-7% of worldwide production. Some
roasters use less
expensive Robusta beans which produce a harsher, more acidic coffee
like that
found in grocery stores. We roast the sweeter, smoother, more
full-bodied
Arabica beans.
- We roast
“Specialty”
Grade beans. This top
grade coffee is two grades above commercial. Specialty Grade beans are
uniform
in color, size and maturity, so they roast at a uniform rate, producing
whole
plump beans.
-
We cup each coffee we
roast. Every year, each coffee
must also
meet our quality standards. This is the final step in the process of
selecting
the best beans that make the grade to become Great River Roasters
coffee.
- We craft
roast each coffee to its “perfect
point” to bring out that
coffee's unique flavor. We feel
this is the essential heart of the coffee roasting process, where the
true art
of the Roastmaster comes into play.
- Our coffee is always
fresh-roasted. Our
coffee is roasted to order and shipped within 24 hours, so it arrives
to you in
the peak of freshness. We never warehouse our
roasted coffee.
- Our decaff
coffee gets rave reviews, and there’s a reason. Our
decaff
coffee is either Swiss Water ProcessTM or Natural Process
Decaff. These
pure processes bring out the best flavor in decaffeination without
concerns for
chemical residue.
- Our
flavored coffee is tops! We use the best flavoring
agents available to bring
the purest flavors to your coffee experience. We offer over 30 custom
flavored
coffees.
- We package
our coffee in gusseted
foil valve bags, the best in the
industry, to guarantee our just-roasted
freshness. Look for our signature gold foil bags.
- We process
orders promptly, and we ship next day for
quick
delivery. Most orders are
processed, roasted and shipped in
two-three business days, assuring delivery of the freshest and highest
quality
product to our customers.
- We train
your staff to become experts at
coffee brewing.
Too often, staff mishandling can ruin a good coffee
through
improper brewing technique. We ensure your staff is properly trained. This ten step commitment to quality is
why we say...
